Types of solar panels:

1. Monocrystalline silicon solar cells:
At present, the photoelectric conversion efficiency of monocrystalline silicon solar cells is about 15%, with the highest reaching 24%, which is the highest among all kinds of solar cells at present. However, the production cost is very high, so that it can not be widely used in large quantities.

2. Polysilicon solar cells:
The production process of polycrystalline silicon solar cells is similar to that of monocrystalline silicon solar cells, but the photoelectric conversion efficiency of polycrystalline silicon solar cells is much lower, and its photoelectric conversion efficiency is about 12% (on July 1, 2004, Japan Sharp listed the world's highest efficiency of 14.8% polycrystalline silicon solar cells).

3. Amorphous silicon solar cells:
Amorphous silicon solar cell is a new type of thin-film solar cell appeared in 1976, which is completely different from the production method of monocrystal silicon and polysilicon solar cell. The process is greatly simplified, and the silicon material consumption is less, and the power consumption is lower. The main advantage of amorphous silicon solar cell is that it can generate electricity in low light conditions.

4. Multi-compound solar cells:
Multicompound solar cells are solar cells that are not made of single element semiconductor materials. Now countries study a wide variety of varieties, most have not yet industrialized production.

Solar panel:
1. It is a device that converts solar radiation directly or indirectly into electric energy through photoelectric effect or photochemical effect by absorbing sunlight. The main material of most solar panels is silicon, but because of the high production cost, its widespread use has certain limitations.
2. Compared with ordinary batteries and rechargeable batteries, solar cells are more energy-saving and environmentally friendly green products.
